About the Event

Positive Women's Network USA invites everyone in the HIV community—those living with and affected by HIV, and the entire HIV workforce—to join us for our 2nd annual Celebrating and Honoring Black Women in the HIV Movement.

March 12th marks the second annual Celebrate and Honor Black Women in the HIV Movement Day. This year, we will be celebrating Black women in the HIV moment through art, by honoring our “Movement Mothers”, and hosting a town hall on Black Joy and Resiliency on March 15, 2022 at 2pm ET/11am PT.

When we think of Black women in all of our diversity, we are reminded of the power, creativity, brilliance, and resilience of Black women. Our communities are indebted and must pay homage to the countless Black women who have always been the very backbone of the HIV movement. Those who have been fighting tirelessly against stigma, discrimination, oppression, and representation since the beginning of the epidemic despite being underpaid and systemically undervalued. So, our demands are simple:

#ListenToBlackWomen

#PayBlackWomen

#RespectBlackWomen

#ProtectBlackWomen

#HonorBlackWomen

Join us for our town hall on March 15, 2022 and make the commitment to celebrate and honor Black women. Visit www.pwn-usa.org/celebrate-sign-on to learn more about ways you can celebrate and honor Black women in the HIV movement with us.
