About the Role

SisterLove Inc seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience a myriad of Communication tasks while working for an Atlanta community-based mission focused nonprofit organization.

Requirements

  • Update and maintain SLI social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter, Instagram updates


  • Assist in planning, writing and managing a monthly eNewsletter


  • Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories


  • Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for events hosted by SLI


  • Update the SLI website when needed


  • Attend monthly staff meetings and department meetings


  • Reach out to community organizations, area businesses, general public and donors with the message about SLI mission to end the impact of HIV and promote Reproductive and Social Justice


  • Research and collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions for communications, public relations

It was founded in 1989 to address HIV-related education, prevention, and research, and to support the rights of reproductive justice for all women and girls.
