Community Faith-Based Outreach

Africa currently serves as SisterLove Inc.'s (SLI) Faith-Based Coordinator connecting the faith-based community to the HIV community on vital issues stemming from HIV testing, prevention, and education to information on research and public policy.

Africa began her journey with SLI in 2018 as a Peer Specialist and Tester for the Health Education Advocacy Prevention (HEAP) Team. In this role, she assisted in reconnecting over 500 women living with HIV to care who had not received medical attention for 6 months or more through SisterLove's “It’s All About You” program.
Africa takes great pride knowing her work linked several hundred women to HIV care who had not previously received medical care.

Her experience as a licensed minister and Executive Pastor of her home church, St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, provides her an opportunity to serve her community through such initiatives as the clothing bank that she started in 2013.

Additionally, Africa has created the “Clergy Connection”, another platform she uses to educate and connect the faith community to the HIV community outside of SLI.

She believes everyone possesses and can live in the overflow of their power and purpose.
Africa looks forward to continuing her work of serving the community with SisterLove and encouraging those around her to dream limitlessly with limitless faith by walking in their purpose.

Africa is a graduate of the University of Phoenix where she received both a Bachelor’s and Masters of Business Administration.
